Philippines Law Library — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Philippines Law Library mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. The App is published by North Coast Studio.

Summary

The App is offline-first and privacy-respecting. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the current version.

Information we do not collect

The current version of the App does not collect any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Device identifiers (advertising ID, IDFA, IDFV)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Search queries or reading history
• Contacts, photos, files, or other on-device content

Data stored on your device

The App stores the following information locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device:

• The bundled legal corpus (read-only)
• App preferences (such as dark mode or text size, if applicable)
• Bookmarks or saved items, if you create them

Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Permissions

The App does not request runtime permissions for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or notifications.

Third-party services

The current version does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect data, including but not limited to analytics, crash reporting, attribution, or advertising networks.

Future updates: advertising

We may introduce advertising in a future version of the App through Google AdMob to support continued free distribution. If and when we do:

• We will update this Privacy Policy and the effective date above before the change is released.
• Ads may use your device advertising identifier to serve relevant ads, in accordance with the Google AdMob privacy practices.
• On iOS, you will be presented with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking begins. You may decline.
• On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings at any time.

Children’s privacy

The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If advertising is introduced in a future version, it will be configured to comply with applicable children’s privacy regulations.

Data security

Because the App does not transmit data to our servers (we operate no servers for this App), there is no transmission to secure. All data is stored locally on your device, protected by the operating system’s standard security mechanisms.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. To remove all App data from your device, simply uninstall the App.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through an App update.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines and the Commonwealth of Australia, as applicable to the developer (North Coast Studio).
